Happy Friday!
So lately this whipped coffee has been a craze in the coffee world! So I figured I’d test it out!
Let me tell you it is very worth it. No wonder everyone is going nuts over this drink. It is easy to make and super delicious!
This whipped coffee, also known as Dalgona Coffee, is like a reversed latte where instead of the milk being frothy, the coffee is!
The whipped portion of the coffee is made from instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water. This mousse like foam is then spooned over a glass full of milk. Pretty easy right?
The key is to really stirring the coffee, sugar, and water together to get that whipped cream consistency. I used a hand mixer to get mine super fluffy.
On a second cup I tried adding some cocoa powder to my coffee mixture to give it more of a mocha flavor. For this add about ½ tsp of unsweetened cocoa powder. (I think this one came out even better).
After you spoon the whipped coffee mixture over the iced glass of milk, make sure to stir both layers together before drinking!
Let me know if you try this one out and how you like it!
